PROXIMITY READERS

Proximity belongs to the radio frequency identification (RFID) and offers the most convenient method of identification.

A valid card or key fob needs only to be held up to the reader for the card to be read, and the door will unlock in a fraction of a second. Proximity provides many advantages over other card formats or automated identification techniques. The proximity cards are impervious to vandalism and dirty environments and are virtually impossible to duplicate. Even strong magnetic fields cannot erase the encoded information.

The trained programmer will be able to restrict cards by site, door number and by time schedule and to inhibit lost or stolen cards globally. The programmer would also be able to look into the systems log to check events, times, alarm signals or incorrect card uses, all from the ease of the centrally located P.C. each door can be individually changed or upgraded to suit, with facilities such as door forced alarm.
