OVERVIEW
Government statistics have shown that fitting intruder
alarms to your home is a useful deterrent for prospective criminals.
For British Standard purposes, all intruder alarm systems
are defined by one of four security grades, the grading dependent upon the
risk level of the premises.
Blue Chip Security Ltd will evaluate your property, and the
grading will be set in line with British Standard BS4737.
PLEASE NOTE:
Before deciding on the type of alarm to be installed, it is advisable
to check with your insurance company first, they may offer
a discount depending on the type of system you have installed.

There are several different types of communication methods available:
ALARMS “bells only”
The most common and traditional type of alarm system is a classed as a “bells only”.
Please note that the police will respond to a “bells only” alarm system when they receive
confirmation from you, your family, or someone notifies them that a burglary is in progress.
ALARMS “monitored”
Blue Chip Security Ltd provides a wide range of alarm monitoring services.
The NACOSS approved alarm receiving centre operates 365 days a year, 24 hours per day.
On receipt of an activation signal from the alarm system that requires operator processing,
we will execute an agreed action plan. Typically this involves calling the appropriate emergency service (Police,
Fire Brigade etc.) and your nominated points of contact.
BT REDCARE
Put simply, BT Redcare is one of the most secure alarm-signalling network available.
It's a system which connects an alarm in a customer's premises via a BT
line to the NACOSS alarm receiving centre and continuously
checks the link every second of every day.
It will even detect a cut link and instantly transmit a signal so the alarm can be raised.
BT Redcare provides encryption to prevent substitution
of equipment or "spoofing" (emulation) of line conditions. Therefore
providing a fail-safe service.
TELECOM MODULE
The highly intelligent and compact module combines digital communication
capability; The telecom module transmits alarm signals using a number of
signalling formats.
The encrypted alarm transmissions are captured by the alarm monitoring software
and presented to an operator at the NACOSS alarm receiving centre in precise
and detailed manner.
Types of "confirmation" technologies
available:
Sequential "confirmation", uses sensors in a number
of different places in or around your property to detect if someone is moving around.
Visual or Audio "confirmation", central station
operator will be able to see or hear activities after an activation.
VOCALISER (Speech Dialler)
The vocaliser simply connects to your new or existing telephone line.
The vocaliser has the ability to dial up to four telephone numbers on an activation including mobile numbers advising you,
a relative or neighbour that the system has activated so the appropriate action can be implemented.
Additional options allow the operator to listen in and silently monitor you property wherever you may be.
An added speech feature also enables the consumer to speak into the property through discreetly
placed speakers. Therefore upon receipt of an alarm call, you may listen into the premises using your authorisation code and verify that the call
is a genuine alarm activation enabling you to take the appropriate action.
Unique Features Includes:
The vocaliser has two outputs which Blue Chip Security
Ltd can programme to operate electrical items such as lights, radios etc
or even control your security system. This allows you to operate household
appliances anytime of day from anywhere in the world by simple telephoning your vocaliser.
KEYPAD
Opening and closing of the alarm system is carried out at the remote keypad.
The system incorporates a time element allowing you to enter your premises by the designated route and switch off the system.
The period required is adjustable by our engineer and will be established with you at the time of commissioning.
AWARD WINNING MAIN PANEL
A sophisticated interior detection and alarm system immediately
reacts to the presence of an intruder or an internal threat.
The system is to be controlled by a microprocessor based unit, comprising of a main control
panel. (Incorporating power supplier and back-up battery, when mains failure
occurs the standby battery facility will maintain the system in accordance with the british standards).
AWARD WINNING SIREN
The high powered external siren incorporating visual and audible signs of activation will have a built in "cut off" timer in line with environmental health requirements.
The sirens are fully weather resistant and are designed to be aesthetically
pleasing and at the same time provide protection, both physically and electronically, from direct attack.
They also carry their own rechargeable power source, so should any of the cabling be cut it will activate the alarm.
ANTI-TAMPER DEVICES
The whole system is protected against unlawful tampering. This protection covers all devises and cabling 24 hours a day whether the system is set or not.
PERSONAL PANIC ALARMS
The personal attack alarm is ideal for use where staff needs the security of a personal attack alarm with the freedom of mobility.
VIBRATION DETECTOR
Advanced microprocessor design gives total reliability and accurate detection using
digital signal processing by true analogue sensitivity set-up.
A complex algorithm which continually monitors the environment ensuring that only genuine signals cause an alarm activation.
BREAK GLASS DETECTOR
The break glass detector only listens for sounds coming from glass. Using 2 microphones and time of arrival (TOA) processing, the detector listens only for the sound of breaking glass arriving from the protected area and ignores sounds arriving from elsewhere.
